Summer Salmon
This meal was exquisite. The salmon was beautifully done and paired wonderfully with the jasmine rice. A winner!
12oz New York Strip
I was very happy with my meal at The Brown Swan. I ordered the steak, well done, and it was perfectly cooked. The sides were also very flavorful. The staff of the Brown Swan was very friendly and efficient. 10 out of 10!
Cheeseburger & Fries
We ate in both the Brown Swan and The Bevy and both experiences were different and equally enjoyable. Service was kind and helpful answering any questions we had about food and asking in the kitchen if they didn't have the answer. We had several meals on site and during brunch a change we needed to one dish was easily accommodated when one in our party received a type of meat they expected differently of (in their eggs). The Dutch Baby at brunch in the Brown Swan was *incredible* and noteworthy. The burgers and fries were delicious. We can't wait to return for more cozy and hospitable meals at The Lodge.
Fish & Chips
Very good dinner. But oddly enough, the tarer sauce and blue cheese dressing that I requested really made the meal along with the cole slaw. Very very good.
Maple Bourbon Chicken
This dish was perfect to end a long day on the lake. Great food and even better environment.
Braised Short Rib
I had the braised short rib at the Brown Swan and it was honestly so good. The meat was super tender and basically falling apart, with a really rich flavor from being slow cooked. It was comforting but still felt like a nice dinner dish, not too heavy. The portion was great too. Between the food and the cozy atmosphere overlooking Schroon Lake, it was such a great meal. I'd definitely recommend getting the short rib if you go.
Chicken Quesadilla
Think the Brown Swan might be an indulgence after holiday bills roll in? Belly up to the bar, order chicken quesadillas and a PBR; this is a delicious and filling meal under $20. And bartenders Jess and Jason are delightful company. This all makes for a satisfying and economical night out in a majestic setting.

I had the absolute best experience celebrating my birthday here, thanks to our incredible waitresses --- Diangene, Tamaine, Dean, and Shennae. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the way they went above and beyond to celebrate my birthday. They brought so much joy and energy, surprising me with special birthday songs and a fun celebration that made me feel so appreciated. Their warmth and enthusiasm turned a simple dinner into such a memorable occasion. Huge thank you to Diangene, Tamaine, Dean, and Shennae for making my day so special --- I couldn't have asked for better service or kinder people to celebrate with!
Maple Bourbon Chicken
Two guests had the above dinner. They enjoyed the flavor of their meal and the presentation. The chicken was tender and served hot and the broccolini cooked properly and not too soft. The meal was served on garlic mashed potatoes which should have been much warmer. The meals were not sent back to the kitchen, Being a vegetarian there are limited menu choices (usually only one entree and a salad without meatless protein). A quesadilla was ordered and the chef was able to substitute grilled mushrooms for the chicken, which was very good, especially with the caramelized onions. We had a lovely evening sitting on the porch, visiting with friends while taking in the beautiful lake view and listening to the Thursday night music. Our server was very friendly and courteous.
